How did I break into Project Management?

My Project Management journey started 3 Years Ago and it’s interesting how it started!
I and a few other mates from my college were called for the internship interviews at Forbes Marshall.
There were 7-8 managers taking interviews for various departments.
Out of which one was Project Management. I got very excited as I always wanted to break into PM.
But to my surprise, they were only looking for 4th-year candidates and since we were in 3rd year that time, we were not allowed to interview for PM as it’s comparatively a more challenging role due to the fact that you have to deal with external stakeholders.
However, I desperately wanted this role and decided to approach the interviewer. Fortunately, he came out of his cabin to attend a call, and as he finished his call, I went up to him and pitched myself.
I was very specific in my pitch and included all my college experiences and how those make me a better PM.
He got curious and called me to the cabin for the formal interview with another manager. It was then just a matter of a couple of questions and I was offered the internship during the interview itself.
